This year in the garden we will be seeing a wide variety of vegetables and herbs. Some of the things you can expect to see are: 

Tomatoes are sweet and juicy and are a staple to the kitchen. Here are a few ways to use them in your own cooking. 

Tomatoes are perfect for slicing and adding to burgers and sandwiches. Add some diced tomatoes to a green salad or pasta salad. Make some Caprese appetizers or even a Margherita pizza.

The process of picking a new apartment and getting everything in order can be long and tedious. If you’re looking to rent an apartment, there are a number of things you will need to do before you can get the keys in your hand and unpack your boxes.

Set a Budget 

Not only is it important that you have the budget for your rent, but you have to make sure you qualify for the apartment. Most apartment communities will require you to make between 2-3x the rent per month. If you are sharing your apartment with a roommate or a partner, you can count both incomes towards this amount. 

Pick a Community

Get Your Paperwork in Order

The application process differs from community to community, but you will need to provide some basic paperwork when applying for an apartment. Make sure you have all this paperwork in order and on hand so there are no hold-ups in your application process. 

Some standard paperwork or information you will be asked for include, proof of income for all residents, past rental history and an application fee. 

Fill Out An Application

Now it’s time to fill out the application. Speak with a leasing agent to find out how to go about submitting your application. Make sure you read it completely and all applications fill out the forms properly. 

If there’s an issue with the application, don’t be afraid to ask what options. For example, if you don’t quite meet some of the requirements it doesn’t mean you’re out of luck. You might have the option to pay an extra deposit, get a guarantor or rely on your credit to help you secure the apartment.  

Sign the Lease

Once you’ve filled out your application and been approved it’s time to make it official. Signing your lease might require you to provide more paperwork like car registration, renters insurance or pet vaccine information. Make sure to ask your leasing agent what you will need to complete the lease. 

You will also want to make sure you read the lease thoroughly and save a copy for your files to refer to should you have any questions during your stay.
